The Cinque Terre region is beautifully connected by sea, train, and coastal trails, making it a perfect destination for a Portofino tour. Your adventure will begin with a scenic drive from your hotel in Portofino to Portovenere, where you can access a boat ride or train to reach the stunning Cinque Terre. Once in Cinque Terre, you will explore the different villages with your private guide, either by train or boat. Please note that boat services are suspended during the Autumn/Winter season and in cases of bad sea conditions.
Your first stop will be Vernazza, where you can visit the ancient fortress that has protected the town from pirates for centuries. Admire the charming domed church dedicated to Santa Margherita d’Antiochia. Depending on the itinerary and your guide’s recommendations, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and savour the delightful flavours of the region.
After Vernazza, you will continue your journey by train or ferry, passing by Corniglia without stopping, before reaching our final destination, the picturesque village of Monterosso. Here, you can relax on the beach or explore the local shops and cafés.
After exploring Monterosso, your chauffeur will be waiting to pick you up for the drive back to Portofino or your desired location.

We strongly recommend hiring a guide for the day, as the driver is limited in their ability to provide commentary. A guide can help navigate the day and access public transportation, ensuring you make the most of your experience.

Ferry or Train Tickets:The price of this tour does not include ferry or train tickets. A one-way boat tour costs €24 per person, allowing you to visit all the Cinque Terre villages. The train ticket is typically around €4-€6 per person for one-way travel between villages. You can disembark at any village and stay as long as you like before continuing your journey with the same ticket.

Transportation Recommendations:Since the towns are not well-connected by road for vehicles, we highly recommend traveling by train or boat to fully enjoy the scenery and ease of access.

Mobility Considerations:To fully enjoy this tour, you will need to use both our vehicle and train/boat services. As such, this itinerary may not be suitable for individuals with limited mobility.

Weather Advisory:The train operates year-round, but boat services are subject to weather conditions, so please plan accordingly.

Comfortable walking shoes are suggested for this tour. Available: Everyday of the year • Your English-speaking driver will not enter sites with you or join you in Monterosso and Vernazza, but will give running commentaries of what you are seeing during the driving time and make sure you have enough time to visit each site. • The price of this tour does not include ferry tickets. A boat tour (one-way) is 22€ per person. Your driver will assist you in acquiring these tickets and guide you on how to best meet him in Monterosso. • The conditions and availability of certain features are ever-changing in the Cinque Terre; we reserve the right to modify the itinerary to give you the most satisfying visit with respect to the situation on the day of your visit. • Changes in local ordinances (particularly with respect to where we can enter with the vehicle and park) may also make it necessary to alter your itinerary. If you prefer a hand in hand service you might opt to get a guide for the day, which we strongly recommend. The guide will meet you at the Cinque Terre and will be with you for about 6 hrs to show you the sites that the driver is not allowed to. The cost is 480 euro up to 8 people.
